Meet Helpings of Hope’s new intern!

This summer Helpings of Hope has a dietetic intern working with Executive Director, Kitty Seelig. Her name is Rachel Martin and she is a dietetic intern from Ball State University. Rachel is currently working on her Master’s degree from Ball State and finishing up her internship to be able to become a registered dietitian. She did her undergrad at Purdue University and double majored in dietetics and nutrition, fitness and health.

Rachel has always lived in Indianapolis and grew up in the Nora area. She is very excited to work with Helpings of Hope because not only did she grow up in Nora, but she also loves the garden to table movement and helping others to develop healthy eating habits. Rachel hopes to learn more about the non-for-profit area and grow further in her professional development in preparation for her future career in dietetics.

Helpings of Hope is excited to have Rachel working with us, and we hope she has a great time experiencing the many ways that nutrition and healthy eating can make a difference in people’s lives.
