Helpings of Hope Speaking Engagements

On Saturday, Executive Director Kitty Seelig had the pleasure of speaking at the “Discover The Empowerment Workshop” sponsored by Empowerment by Design, a company founded by Pastor DeAndra Flowers. Kitty spoke on how to make healthy food choices to help reduce stress. She also shared about Helpings of Hope and its mission to help face hunger challenges in greater Indianapolis. Helpings of Hope also provided vegetable seeds for the ladies to start their own container gardens. It was a very informative and empowering time!

On Sunday, Kitty, along with Chris May, OneWorldEverybodyEats Board Member and founder of F.A.R.M. Cafe in North Carolina, was interviewed for the Indie Air radio show Living on Purpose. The show will air in a few weeks. Chris talked about the OWEE network and the great work they are doing. Kitty talked about Helpings of Hope’s plans to bring the first community cafe to Indy. We will provide details as to when and where the radio interview can be heard.
