Meet the Helpings of Hope Secretary/Treasurer

Mary Gray acts as Secretary/Treasurer on the Helpings of Hope board.
Mary is a native Hoosier. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University in Psychology and Hospital and Health Care Administration.

After working for 20 years in non-profit health care and hospital organizations as a manager and administrator, Mary was appointed COO of Regenstrief Institute, a medical research organization, where she served for 13 year with responsibility for operations and strategic growth. Her portfolio included a 14.5 million dollar budget, over 80 research grants and contracts, and oversight responsibility for 300 scientists and staff.

Mary currently works as a consultant to nonprofit organizations, assisting in development and implementation of operational and strategic initiatives. She is a past board member of the Indianapolis Senior Center and currently volunteers in her home church food pantry.

Her work and volunteer experiences have prepared her to appreciate the opportunity to serve as a board member for Helpings of Hope, as the organization seeks to address hunger issues locally and globally.
