Nora Community Garden hosted the first in a series of three community garden talks. This is an opportunity for gardeners to learn about gardening best practices and to exchange gardening tips. It was so much fun learning about our different cultural gardening practices while learning about organic fertilizing, weeding, and pest control techniques. Prize give-aways for lucky participants were also enjoyed. Our garden talks are on the second Saturday of the month from 10am-11am at the garden. The next talk will be on Saturday, August 14th and will be taught by Catherine Boeckmann, Master Gardener. Catherine will be talking about best practices for watering vegetables, harvesting, canning, freezing, and food preservation safety. Happy gardening!
